What is this? Is this NOT a kids game? 8:34 what did you hear. In Mirror's Edge Catalyst, during the mission Savant Extraordinaire, there's an way to reach the end of the mission in something like 2 minutes. However, you need to backtrack in the mission area to trigger the final checkpoint. BUT BE CAREFULL. If you backtrack too far, you'll reach a death barrier and you'll RESPAWN on it over and over without anyway to access the pause menu. Not so bad, you can always close and booth up the game, but even that doesn't fix the issue, as how the game works, is that when you booth up the game, you spawn at your last checkpoint which is. the death barrier. so your only way out. is to delete your save file.

The second one happens after the quest “That Other mewhere!”, what happens is that the graphics get screwed over and you have to reset the game but saving actually dose not save the screwed graphics when resetting.

I was sad when I saw what GunZ 2 gameplay was, as my hopes had been dashed in an instant. In truth, the game became pay to win the instant it went to ijji. They implemented the cash shop which only previously existed in the Korean version of the game, to my knowledge. This included equipment with better stats (which weighed less or protected you more, etc) weapons with slightly higher damage, clip size, fire rates, etc. None of this was particularly egregious and only offered slight advantages. The real pay to win mechanic was the premium med kits and armor kits. In the game, you pressed 4 to equip the med and then clicked and you threw it out on the ground. The premium meds healed more and deployed out at a noticeably quicker rate. And because of the high time to kill you mentioned, you basically just dashed up a wall, around a corner, dropped a couple and walked on them and you were instantly full health again. As a long time player that invested some money into a few items I liked, I instantly recognized this broke the game balance for anyone who didn't have them. They healed so much you could do it in front of people as long as they weren't close enough/quick enough to get in range and headshot you with a shotgun. It was a really cool tight-knit community that's been cast to the wind, and I will always remember the cool people I met in the game and on the forums. Thanks for doing the game justice. The dungeon is organized into 4 layers, and bit-warping updates the player's coordinates, but doesn't update the layer. There is a save point there, but saving and reloading saves the previous layer, and thus doesn't update the layer. The only way to update the layer is out of reach because it's blocked by a locked door that requires the small key that was skipped, assuming the player used the dungeon's only other small key to acquire the bow, which is its own layer in and of itself. After acquiring the small key intended for the bow, you could bit-warp to the big key chest, use the small key to update the layer, and then grab the big key, but you would then be skipping the bow, which is necessary for the boss. If that small key was somehow duped, it would save five minutes on a speed run because the other small key is in its own layer, in turn blocked by a chore of a puzzle. Sadly, as gymnast86 found out the hard way, that is impossible given current knowledge of the bit glitch.

Lack of weapon availability until you played a lot was tedious, and single player missions were incredibly dull. While the original one also was basically just corridors of enemies, they had a lot less health per level so it made it fun to just blast through them until the ocassional boss that required more effort, while in the second they're way more bulletspongy which dragged the pace down even further In short, Gunz was like skating on ice, and Gunz2 was like skating on quicksand.

Warframe conclave is the closest I've seen to gunz and it's so good

This traumatized little 8 year old me in 2012. God, just hearing the music brings me back. I played Ijji GunZ which was plagued with hackers. I always played the Castle map that had the dining room which had chairs, benches and fences in it which k-style aimbotters would got stuck on, and you could mow them down. There was even a dll file you could download to give you god mode in PVE mode which wasn't fixed for over a year, allowing us to boost with rewards at the end of it. I get the feeling you are bitter about the game failing lol. Whenever I got the red ring of death i just unplugged it and it was fine. This game gave me hand cramps back in early 2000s just from practicing butterfly and kstyle.

Damn, I remember playing that game with a couple of my friends back in like 2008-2009. What a great time we've had. GOAT SIMULATOR is entirely bug enhanced experience. One day I was playing fortnite forgot what season but me and my poor quadcrasher got flunked into the sky then I went to the kill barrier. I would say it not as easy as just listing to you player base. You should do that. But you also need to read between the lines when you do it. K-style, which I think seems really cool and reminds of some other unintentional high skill glitch exploiting of other games is something they should build on. Though is not something you get players in to at the start. Of course the trick is not to nerf it but to build some easier ways to get in to it. Fighting games tend to this with there character roster for example. Having characters that gets gradually more difficult but also more rewarding to play. And doing something similar with loadouts would likely have been the way they should have gone. Of course this means you should be paired with people which are about the same skill level as you. But even if your not the noob loadout would at least keep you somewhat competitive as it easy to master and still somewhat effective but not as effective as the more 1337 loadouts. Smart thing to would be not to be able to buy power or even be careful with grind for it. If power is involved focus more on side-grades then up-grades. Which is generally a good design principle in general as it make the game more interesting and complex. And defiantly not have a Pay-2-Win system which I define some advantage is behind a paywall which can not be accessed though other means. You should never have that in a game, especially not a competitive one or you will get player resentment and a shrinking player base. I have heard this works in South Korea but in the west just suggesting that the game is Pay-2-Win (Even when it not) can lead to drop-off of players. However if you doing it as a service I would recommended selling cosmetics and convenience. And you may want to use cash store credit exchange that allows player who just put in time in to the game the ability to get access to these cosmetics and conveniences items. You monetization model is very important. You need to make it feel fair as well as keep the cash flow going. Avoid lock boxes in general I say as there rather scummy and have gotten a bad rep lately. But they do earn a lot of money so it hard to resist I know. Though I feel that the way a lot companies have handled that sort of system have made them poisonous fruit. And try to make spending cash fun. Let people spending cash make it a fun experience for others then just for them selves. Sharing and gifting gives a lot of positive feedback for paying customers. And you rather have customers that like to share and be helpful then selfish jerks that just want to have a unbeatable advantage. Darn. I feel like some game design consultant now. Gunz 2 had more problems than forsaking their old audience, it stubbornly kept the ridiculous micro-transactions, net code was still a problem, but now the game was also horribly un-optimized. They've removed all customization and self-entity that would come with making your toon and It didn't help also that, by the time the game came, there were just way more competition. Alas its death. I actually checked the date of this video before watching it. Gunz is a game I hadn't heard of in a long time. I used to play it when it was on Ijji. It was insanely fun and duels were intense. You felt like an anime character and there was nothing more rewarding than taking down another skilled player. This video truly sent me on a nostalgia trip. This game is a testament to how game developers can create one of the best gameplay mechanics purely by accident.

Great video. Funny to see some familiar names pop up. played against ThingN and Aphrodite a couple of times and would always get owned. I believe they were in Magicians but not too sure. These dudes were crazy good. Some other cool techniques that weren't mentioned in the video: A player named Monk discovered that you could do a triple butterfly by cancelling the animation really fast. It wasn't that effective in gun battles (you were losing a lot of your momentum because the dash came out late) but in sword games it wrecked. You could also circumvent blocking by looking straight down while slashing (unless your target was blocking straight up. Massives could hit through blocking if you turned your back at the target.
